Stores Operative/Shovel Driver

POSITION: Stores Operative/Shovel Driver (Somerset site)
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
ACCOUTABILITY OBJECTIVE
To load product in and out as well as maintain the cleanliness of the store and machinery
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load product in and out of stores
- Make sure all products are segregated and roadways are clear
- Check shovels for anything needing repaired or fluids topped up, keep them clean and in good working order
- Check external trailers coming into stores are clean and covered before loading
- Keep store areas clean and tidy
- Sampling and temperature checking of products
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Working in a similar environment
Full clean UK driving License
Previous experience of working with a telehandler or wheeled loading shovels would be an advantage
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate loading shovel in a safe manner, avoid collisions with other machinery, lorries or people, be aware of surroundings.
