The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to play a meaningful role in driving sustainability at scale. Cefetra operates across international supply chains that span hundreds of thousands of hectares, supplying products that are embedded in everyday life.

Positioned between farm-level production and retail/customer demand, this role sits at a critical point in the value chain, where real change can be influenced and delivered. You will help connect on-the-ground global agricultural practices with supply chain decisions, ensuring sustainability is not just discussed, but implemented in a practical and commercially viable way.

About the role:

This is a key role within one of the UK & Ireland’s leading Agricultural Supply Chain Managers, responsible for driving and embedding Sustainability across Cefetra Ltd’s commercial activities.

You will take ownership of Cefetra Ltd’s Sustainability agenda, working closely with traders, customers, operational teams, and the Cefetra Group Sustainability team in Rotterdam.

This is a hands-on role requiring both practical delivery and customer facing role. You will support the translation of sustainability requirements, such as deforestation-free supply chains, carbon reduction initiatives, and evolving customer standards, into commercially viable solutions, particularly across key commodities such as soya.

Alongside commercial activity, you will take full ownership of sustainability data, reporting, and accreditations across the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will also drive operational improvement projects and support the development of circular solutions, including opportunities to create value from waste and by-products.

At Cefetra, we take a hands-on approach to sustainability. This role is not about delegating work to others, but about leading from the front, owning the detail, delivering the work, and building credibility through direct involvement. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, but remain accountable for driving initiatives through to completion. This approach ensures we represent the business with authenticity and credibility when engaging with customers.
